On our farm every season holds a peculiar charm. Not only are the tasks on the farm in the course of a year diversified but also nature is. We would be pleased to offer you a guided tour of our farm and talk about our daily life on the farm and to show you on a guided walk the beautiful faces of the high apple plateau of Natz-Schabs/Naz-Sciaves. Spring
Spring holidays in Naz, South Tyrol
When the days are becoming longer again, when the budburst of the trees and bushes through the rays of the sun start, then the time for revitalization has come.
Hiking in a sea of blossom: Our farm is the ideal starting point for many hiking tours. Especially in spring when the apple trees and the cherry trees are in flower, then it is worth going on a trip to our high plateau. The humming bees and the juicy grass of the meadows create their own inviting atmosphere.
The Royal Festival: Every year in spring the ‘the Royal Festival’ dedicated to the apple tree blossoms takes place in our municipality Naz-Sciaves. The highlight of the festival is the blossom and traditional costume parade, where many “Queens” are presenting their products, for instance the Apple Queen apples, the Honey Queen honey, the Bacon Queen bacon etc.
Spring skiing: And while the mountaintops are still covered in snow you can already enjoy blossoms of the trees down in the valley. This is a good time to spend the one or other day in one of the nearby ski areas. Most of them are open until Easter.
Summer
Summer holidays in Naz, South Tyrol
Blooming mountain pasture, impressive panoramical views: in summer the nature is full of life and you can enjoy active and adventurous holidays on the Weiher Hof farm and the surrounding area.
Blossoming meadows and impressive mountains. There are a lot of things to explore and to discover in summer. Hiking through blooming mountain pasture and stopping for a bite to eat in a traditional alpine cottage is one of the most relaxing things to do. And as mountaineer you will take the most impressive panoramical views with you. We are at your disposal to help in deciding where to go on excursions.
On tour with the mountainbike. If you are a passionate mountain biker you will be thoroughly satisfied. Our farm is the perfect departure point for long mountain bike excursions. You can either go through the Pustertal Valley to Lienz (Austria) or through the Eisacktal Valley towards the north to the Brennerpass or towards the south till Bolzano. If you have a heart for animals you may also discover the surroundings by horse.
Jump into the water. Furthermore there are lots of possibilities to go swimming: the entrance to the water park “Aquarena” in Bressanone is every day for free for 3 hours when you use your BrixenCard - except on Sundays and public holidays - and many lakes where you can dive in are in the nearest surrounding.
Porticoes, convents and much more. If the weather should not be at your side then you can make an excursion into the historical town of Bressanone with its arcades, churches and the Fürstbischöflichen Hofburg, the former residence of the bishop of the diocese of Bolzano-Bressanone. The historical convent “Kloster Neustift” is absolutely worth seeing as well. With the BrixenCard there are price advantages for the city tours.
Worth seeing. Moreover you may also visit the Iceman "Ötzi", a famous mummy, at the South Tyrol Museum of Archaeology at Bolzano. With the BrixenCard, which is included in our prices, you can travel by train free of charge to the museum.
Plose - Bressanone's leisure mountain. Plose, the local mountain of Brixen, with a magnificent panorama of the Dolomites, is situated only 15 km from our farm. It is one of the most beautiful hiking and biking areas in South Tyrol.
Autumn
Autumn holidays in Naz, South Tyrol
Colourful leaves, ripe fruit hanging on the trees, fascinating clear view onto the surrounding mountains, taking a bite from a freshly picked apple: What can you desire more? In autumn our farm has a lot to offer.
Autumn is harvest time. In autumn there is harvest time on our farm. After a year of hard work the fruit is ready to be picked. On the trees there are apples which shine in red and gold. Take a walk through the orchards. It’s worth it!
"Sunnseitn Apfelwoche“ Every year in autumn the “Sunnseiten Apfelwoche” takes place. It is a festival where the new Apple Queen is going to be crowned. A whole week is dedicated to the apple. Many events are being offered.
"Törggele"-time. In addition autumn is “Törggelezeit”. This autumn tradition of rambling through South Tyrol’s valleys and tasting young wine along with roast chestnuts and seasonal dishes is called “törggelen”.
Winter
Winter holidays in Naz, South Tyrol
When the days are becoming shorter, when nature sleeps under the snow-covered surface and you can smell home-made Christmas cookies then the time for you to relax has come. Our farm is the best way to find silence and relaxation in winter as well.
Traditional cottages and natural sledging runs. You can take a walk through the snow-covered countryside or you can go ice-skating on a lake next to our house. If you are a passionate skier or snowboarder you can find the two big ski resorts Plose and Gitschberg-Jochtal. Within a radius of 30 km you can reach other important ski resorts of South Tyrol. Most of the ski resorts have their own toboggan run and the best thing is that you can take the cable car to reach the starting point of the toboggan run.
Skating, skiing & Co. You may take a hiking tour in winter as well. The traditional mountain cottages offer delicious mountain dishes. And after a nice day or evening in company you can try to get downhill on the sleigh on a natural toboggan run. Furthermore you can enjoy adventures like alpine backcountry skiing, snowshoe hiking or cross country skiing.
Christmas mood. Moreover, during Christmas time there is the so-called “Christkindlmarkt” a Christmas market with traditional handicraft and dishes to enjoy.
Winter wonderland Plose. Plose, the local mountain of Brixen, is an ideal place for winter hiking, tobogganing, skiing and snowboarding. It is situated only 15 km from our farm.

Holidays in Valle Isarco in South Tyrol
Spend unforgettable holidays on the Weiher Hof farm. Surrounded by meadows full of fruit plants, forests and a little idyllic lake, our farm is located in a wonderful environment on the so-called high apple plateau Naz-Sciaves, a locality along the Isarco Valley, the valley of trails. Our farm lies close to the former bishopric Bressanone (ca. 6 km distant). The town invites you also to an enjoyable shopping journey.
The environment impresses with its variety. Thanks to the central location of our farm we can offer lots of hiking, biking and trekking excursions. Numerous walking routes guide you through the well maintained countryside. In winter there are a lot of cross-country ski tracks, slopes and toboggan runs.
Active holidays around the Weiher Hof farm. In summer in the surroundings of our Weiher Hof farm there are several possibilities to go swimming: the water park “Aquarena” in Bressanone as well as natural lakes. Furthermore you can enjoy the climbing center „Vertikale“ in Bressanon
